Sona is one of the most underrated bands in the area. If you like shoegaze, you’ll love Sona. If you are indifferent to shoegaze, you’ll still love Sona.

The band played a beautiful set at the Jackpot on Friday. The sound at the local venue has been vastly improved over the last year with state-of-the-art technology, and bands have found themselves loving the result.

Additionally, Sobriquet (also on the night’s bill) brought their famous light setup. To see one of our previous stories featuring their fantastic and awe-inspiring light show, click here. This left Sona’s performance incredibly vibrant, hypnotizing, and looking like a gorgeous music video had come to life on the Jackpot stage.
