Rooftop Vigilantes thrashy, buzzy garage rock is tearing 2014 in half.

Their latest single “Last Call on Neptune” has snapping drums, wild guitars, and vocals out of this world. The lyrics are released like a primal scream on the chorus, as if they’re transforming into a bloodthirsty beast. Even with their rough around the edges delivery, Rooftop Vigilantes manage to keep a pop harmony magic in the song (especially in the “whoa-oh-oh’s”). It’s catchy as can be and sounds like a drunken sing-a-long.

Sloppy in all the best ways, “Last Call on Neptune” is a concise and tight song in its two minute delivery, but Rooftop Vigilantes make it sound effortless. They are a band having fun with punk rock and are brining us along for the adventure. Rooftop Vigilants grab your attention, like the distortion at the beginning of the track with its quiet “Hey.” Why focus on anything else?
