Mondays can be rough but the light at the end of the tunnel on this crisp fall day took place at Lawrence’s beloved Liberty Hall.

Fellow mid-westerner Conor Oberst brought his political punk group Desaparecidos to save us all. The So So Glows opened the show, brothers out of Brooklyn pushing a movement of presence and destruction of the internet.

The crowd pressed in as Desaparecidos took the stage, and every fan in the space felt the emotion and anger Oberst exuded. Oberst and keyboardist Ian M. McElroy had personalized messages regarding Kansas politics and the general feeling was the crowd agreed with every word they said. It would have been impossible to walk away uninspired.
