No one told the Icky Blossoms that Wednesday is supposed to be a low-key night at SXSW.

As part of the Saddle Creek Records showcase at the Parish Underground they brought an intense, throbbing dance energy with a light show to match.  From Omaha, the band’s artistic background (singers and guitarists Derek Pressnall and Nik Fackler are filmakers recognized in the past by the Indie Spirit Awards for their film Lovely,Still) seemed influential in their set as they not only played their songs but put on a show.

Icky Blossom’s brand of electro-dance pop infected the crowd who couldn’t do anything but move with the beat.  Pick up Icky Blossom’s self titled album for your next house party and check out their website for Icky Blossom style so you know what threads to wear.
