Anakin - Random Accessed Memories
Deep in the heart of Eudora, a rockin’ storm is brewing. Anakin is a local shoegaze ensemble that has us foaming at the mouth. Their guitar fuzz is to die for, and the vocals are smooth. It’s like we’ve got our very own version of HUM brewing right here in Northeast Kansas; and if you’re a fan of Nada Surf, this album will feel like the loveliest of strolls down memory lane.

The band comes to us courtesy Chris Rosenthal, Brad Chancellor, and Brent Windler. They have more or less been playing together since 2008, but they’re planning some live shows in the very near future. Be sure to catch them February 20th at the Riot Room in Kansas City.

Check out (and download!) their new album, Random Accessed Memories. I do believe we’ve died and gone to heaven!
